Strong branding and positioningfor a leading machine builder

Sterke branding voor een machinebouwer - FBConstruct case

Aligning the brand with reality

For a leading machine builder, strong branding is about more than a polished logo or a recognisable colour. It is the foundation under every touchpoint, from quote to trade-show stand. That is exactly why we started by listening carefully: who is behind the company, which values drive the people on the shop floor, and how does that fit into a sector that often competes purely on technical merit.

That intake phase gave us a clear picture of where the brand came from and where it wanted to go. We saw ambition, craftsmanship and a no-nonsense mindset. Three pillars that we would carry through every design decision from day one.

From strategy to visual story

With that strategic foundation in place, we could start the visual translation. No abstract mood boards, but concrete designs ready to land in real-world use. A new logo that radiates technical strength without feeling heavy. Typography that signals professionalism while staying legible on machine plates and brochures.

Colour palette, photography guidelines, tone of voice: every decision was made together with the client, not for them. That involvement made sure the identity never felt like something bolted on from the outside, but the natural expression of who they already were.

A brand that grows with you

A few months after launch, the results began to show. Not through spectacular campaign numbers, but through subtler signals: employees wore the new branding with pride, clients started recognising the brand at trade fairs, and the sales team could finally tell a story that matched what they saw on the workshop floor every day.

That is what strong branding does. It does not shout for attention, it consistently evokes the right feeling. For a machine builder, that means building trust with prospects long before they ever request a quote. And that was exactly what we set out to build for our client.
